Changes to childcare support
Eligible working parents and carers with 2 year-old children can now get 15 hours' free childcare.
From September 2024, the 15 hours of free childcare will be extended for children of ages 9 months to 3 year-olds – eligible working parents and carers can apply for this free childcare from 12 May.
By September 2025, most working families with children of ages from 9 months to 5 years-old will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare support. For full details, go to Childcare Choices: upcoming changes to childcare support.
