Request: 
  • Confirm the total number of permanent exclusions have been withdrawn/cancelled in your local authority area in 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23 and the reasons for the cancellations.
  • Confirm how many withdrawn/cancelled permanent exclusions resulted in a permanent move to an alternative setting (Managed Move) in your local authority area in 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23.

Q1  Confirm the total number of permanent exclusions have been withdrawn/cancelled in your local authority area in 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23 and the reasons for the cancellations.

2020/21:  8 - Withdrawn for AP (Fewer than 5) withdrawn for Managed move (Fewer than 5) reinstated HT decision to withdraw remained in school (Fewer than 5)

2021/22:  Fewer than 5 - Withdrawn for AP (Fewer than 5) withdrawn for Managed Move (Fewer than 5)

2022/23   12 - Withdrawn for AP  (Fewer than 5) withdrawn for managed move (Fewer than 5) reinstated HT decision to withdraw remained in school (5)

2021/22: Fewer than 5

  • There is a low number involved. 
  • The release of this information could identify individuals which would constitute their personal data under the Data Protection Act  
  • There is no prior expectation on the part of these individuals that their personal information would be published in the wider public domain under the FOI Act
