I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request information about children who are  voluntarily accommodated under section 20 of the Children Act 1989. Please could you advise on the following:

1. How many children did you accommodate under section 20 of the Children Act 1989 for a consecutive period over 180 days in 2019?

2. How many children did you accommodate under section 20 of the Children Act 1989 for a consecutive period over 180 days in 2020?

3. How many children did you accommodate under section 20 of the Children Act 1989 for a consecutive period over 180 days in 2021?

4. How many children did you accommodate under section 20 of the Children Act 1989 for a consecutive period over 180 days in 2022?

5. How many children did you accommodate under section 20 of the Children Act 1989 for a consecutive period over 180 days in 2023?

6. How many children from Q1 had an ethnicity classified as non-white* in 2019?

7. How many children from Q2 had an ethnicity classified as non-white* in 2020?

8. How many children from Q3 had an ethnicity classified as non-white* in 2021?

9. How many children from Q4 had an ethnicity classified as non-white* in 2022?

10. How many children from Q5 had an ethnicity classified as non-white* in 2023?

*Non-white means Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, any other Asian, Caribbean, African, any other black, white and black Caribbean, white and black African, white and Asian, Arab, any other mixed ethnicity, any other non-white group.
