I would like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I would like to know:
1. How many units of social housing that your Council own/manage are currently void/vacant;
A. What % of your social housing portfolio does this equate to;
B. Over what period are these voids (i.e. when did the first property become void and when was the most recent);
C. What are the reasons for these voids; and
D. When do you expect these properties to be brought back into use.
2. How many units of private housing that your Council own/manage are currently void/vacant;
A. What % of your private housing portfolio does this equate to;
B. Over what period are these voids (i.e. when did the first property become void and when was the most recent);
C. What are the reasons for these voids; and
D. When do you expect these properties to be brought back into use.
1. How many units of social housing that your Council own/manage are currently void/vacant; 84 units are currently void
A. What % of your social housing portfolio does this equate to; based on a portfolio of 10,808 units this equates to 0.7%
B. Over what period are these voids (i.e. when did the first property become void and when was the most recent); this varies from days for some properties to months for other units
C. What are the reasons for these voids; and 41 of the 84 units are permanently de-commissioned for redevelopment. Other units are void due to tenants moving on to other forms of housing provision. A small number of units are void as they require major works due to structural issues.
D. When do you expect these properties to be brought back into use. This varies depending on the extent of works required but the target timescales are 10 days for standards voids and 30 days for voids requiring capital works.
