Car cruiser Public Space Protection Order extended for another three years

Thurrock Council is extending the successful Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) which prevents car cruising events from taking place in West Thurrock for another three years.
The PSPO was originally put in place in 2015 and since then has been extended three times. It gives the council and Essex Police the powers to crack down on the anti-social behaviour and disruption to residents and has been a real success in helping prevent and stop disruptive car cruiser events.

Order to help dog owners keep cemeteries clean and peaceful

Rules to encourage dog owners to make sure they pick up after their pets if they are walking them through the borough's cemeteries have come into force.
A new Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) means that owners of dogs who do not pick up after their pet or allow them off the leash in one of the borough's cemeteries can be issued with a £100 fixed penalty notice.
