1 November 2024

Thurrock’s residents and businesses are invited to a special ‘Ask the council’ Public Question Time event on Monday 11 November at the Thameside Theatre, in Grays.

Attendees at this free event will have the opportunity to ask a question of a cabinet members (councillors) and the officer senior leadership team and to hear about the council’s upcoming plans.

Cllr Val Morris-Cook, Cabinet member for Community Partnerships, said: “Ask the Council will be a great event to bring the community and the council together. We want to hear from as many of you as possible so please register, come along, ask us what you want, and tell us about the things that matter to you.

I’m determined for us to be an open and transparent council, and one that listens to our residents. So, I’m really looking forward to the Public Question Time, and to meeting members of our community and hearing first-hand what matters to them.

This is a chance for you to hold us to account, find out about a local issue or concern, or make your suggestion for what you think we should do differently.”

Registration for Thurrock’s Public Question Time, which takes place from 6pm to 8pm on Monday 11, should be done through the Eventbrite booking webpage

Those registering will be prompted to submit their question. Although it may not be possible to answer all questions on the night, answers to all questions submitted will be published on Thurrock Council’s website.
