The victorious team from last year’s Next Top Boss competition saw their winning idea come to life at a special launch ceremony held at Grays Station last week.
Students from Grays Convent High School, working together under the banner Team Sanitary, won the competition with an innovative idea to make sure complimentary period care products were available in toilets across at c2c’s rail network.
As sponsor of the competition c2c pledged to make their idea a reality. The winning team held regular meetings with c2c and their chosen supplier, organic tampon company Here We Flo, to bring their project to life. The school group took charge of marketing and branding decisions, which means all dispensers will carry their designs.
Dispensers will be installed in customer and staff toilets across the network in the coming weeks.
Thurrock's Next Top Boss 2023 was organised by the Inspire Youth Hub. It gives young people aged 14-25 the chance to work with employers on real business challenges. Not only is it a chance for young people to show employers what they can do but once the challenge is completed, they are offered a reference for future job applications.
