Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4, 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

1. To revoke the existing 50mph Speed Limit restriction at the location(s) specified below:

1. A1306 Arterial Road Purfleet eastbound carriageway, from its junction with M25 junction 31 roundabout in an westerly direction for a distance of 220m
2. A1306 Arterial Road Purfleet westbound carriageway, from its junction with M25 junction 31 roundabout in an westerly direction for a distance of 30m

2. To implement a 40mph Speed Limit restriction at the location(s) specified below:

3. The circulatory area of the M25 junction 31 Roundabout.
4. A1306 Arterial Road Purfleet eastbound carriageway, from its junction with M25 junction 31 roundabout in an westerly direction for a distance of 220m
5. A1306 Arterial Road Purfleet westbound carriageway, from its junction with M25 junction 31 roundabout in an westerly direction for a distance of 30m
6. Junction 30 northbound on-sip road, from M25 junction 31 roundabout in a northerly direction for a distance of 54m.
7. Junction 30 southbound off-slip road, from M25 junction 31 roundabout in northerly direction for a distance of 178m.
8. A1306 Arterial Road West Thurrock Road both carriageways between M25 Junction 31 roundabout and the roundabout connecting B186 West Thurrock Way, A1306 Arterial Road West Thurrock and service road.
9. Service road northbound, from the roundabout connecting B186 West Thurrock Way, A1306 Arterial Road West Thurrock and service road in a northerly direction for a distance of 101m.
10. The roundabout connecting B186 West Thurrock Way, A1306 Arterial Road West Thurrock and service road.
11. A282 southbound on-slip road, from M25 junction 31 roundabout in a southerly direction for a distance of 15m.
12. A282 northbound off-slip road, from M25 junction 31 roundabout in a southerly direction for a distance of 50m.
13. Stonehouse Lane in both direction between M25 Junction 31 roundabout and roundabout connecting Dolphin Way, Stonehouse Lane

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via [email protected]. 4) Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 13th January 2025. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
