Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce 20mph Speed Limit restriction at the location(s) specified below: -

1. Alfred Street, for its entire length
2. Arthur Street, for its entire length
3. Bond Street, for its entire length
4. Charles Street, for its entire length
5. Church Street, for its entire length
6. Doug Siddons Close, for its entire length
7. Elm Road, for its entire length
8. Gipsy Lane, for its entire length
9. Grove Road, for its entire length
10. John street, for its entire length
11. Manor Road, for its entire length
12. Maple Road, for its entire length
13. Oak Road, for its entire length
14. Percy Street, for its entire length
15. William Street, for its entire length
16. Wood Street, for its entire length

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively, the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via [email protected]. 4) Any objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 23rd January 2025. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
