Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic

Corringham No.1 - No Waiting At Any Time

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce new waiting restrictions “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following locations;-                                                                                                                             

Springhouse Road / Berkley Hill

      1. At the junction of Berkley Hill and Springhouse Road following the kerb line in all directions for a distance of 16m.

            Springhouse Road / Rachael Clarke Close

  1. At the junction of Rachael Clarke Close and Springhouse Road following the kerb line in all directions for a distance of 15m.

         Springhouse Road / Goldsmiths Avenue

  1. On the western side of Springhouse Road from the southern kerb line of Goldsmiths Avenue in a southerly direction to the common property boundary wall of 17/19 Springhouse Road.
  2. On the western side of Springhouse Road from the northern kerb line of Goldsmiths Avenue in a northerly direction to the southern boundary wall of 25 Springhouse Road.
  3. On both sides of Goldsmiths Avenue from the western kerb line of Springhouse Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 17m.

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via [email protected].  Those who are unable to use email can phone 01375 652652.

4) Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 27th March 2025. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
