Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic (Revocation)

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

  1. To revoke existing waiting restriction “No Waiting Mon-Sat 7am-6pm” at the following locations:
      1. On the western side of Princess Margaret Road, from the northern kerb line of Bata Avenue in a northern direction for a distance of 16m
      2. On the western side of Princess Margaret Road, from the southern kerb line of Bata Avenue in a southern direction for a distance of 24m
      3. On the western side of Princess Margaret Road, from a point 10m north of the northern kerb line of the north access to Thames Industrial in a northern direction for a distance of 8m

              b)  To introduce new waiting restrictions “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following locations:

      1. On the western side of Princess Margaret Road, from the northern kerb line of Bata Avenue in a northern direction for a distance of 16m
      2. On the western side of Princess Margaret Road, from the southern kerb line of Bata Avenue in a southern direction to a point 10m north of the northern kerb line of the north access to Thames Industrial.
  1. On the northwest side of Coronation Avenue, from the eastern boundary wall of No.6 Lawns Court in a northerly direction to the common boundary of No7/8
  2. On the southeast side of Coronation Avenue, from a point opposite the eastern boundary wall of No.6 Lawns Court in a northerly direction to a point opposite the common boundary of No7/8

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via [email protected].  Those who are unable to use email can phone 01375 652652.

4) Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 16th January 2025. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
