Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
Grays Permit Parking Area – Zone J
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 00th Month 2024, the order will come in to force on the 3rd February 2025.
2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce:
- Permit Parking Area Zone J (PPA Mon-Fri 8am-6pm) in the following roads:
- Benson Road, both sides from a point 21m from the junction with Bridge Road in an easterly direction to its junction with Salisbury Road.
- Salisbury Road, both sides for the entire length
- Kent Road, both sides for the entire length
- Richmond Road, both sides for the entire length
- Limited Waiting Bays - “Mon-Fri 8.00am-6.00pm 30 minutes stay, no return within 1 hour” on the road specified below:

- Limited waiting bays – on the eastern side of Salisbury Road from a point 15m north from the northern kerb line of East Thurrock Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 22m.
- “At Any Time” Waiting Restrictions

- On both sides of Salisbury Rd from the northern kerb line of East Thurrock Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 15m.

- A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively, they can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm), by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via [email protected]. - Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
