Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 1 February 2024, the order will come in to force on 29 February 2024.

a) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting Mon - Fri 1PM - 2PM" at the following location(s):

i. on the south side of Grenville Road from a point 9m west of the west kerb line of Galleon Road in a west direction for a distance of 19.4m
ii. on the east side of Grenville Road from a point 5m south of the south property boundary wall of 7 Grenville Road following the kerb line in a southwest direction to a point 4m east of the west boundary of property boundary wall of 57-73 Grenville Road
iii. on the west side of Grenville Road from a point 3m west of the west property boundary wall of flats 42-52 Grenville Road following the kerb line in a southwest direction to a point 11m north of the north property boundary wall of 75-85 Grenville Road
iv. on both sides of Grenville Road from a point 11m north of the north property boundary wall of 75-85 Grenville Road following the kerb line in a south then east direction to the west property boundary wall of 87-103 Grenville Road
v. on both sides of Grenville Road from the west property boundary wall of 87-103 Grenville Road following the kerb line in an east direction around the turning head
vi. on the west side of Grenville Road from the south property boundary wall of 42-52 Grenville Road following the kerb line in a north direction to a point 1m north of the north property boundary wall of 18-28 Grenville Road
vii. on the east side of Grenville Road from a point 1m north of the north property boundary wall of 18-28 Grenville Road following the kerb line in a south direction to a point 4m north of the north property boundary of 8 Grenville Road
viii. on both sides of Grenville Road from a point 1m north of the north property boundary wall of 18-28 Grenville Road following the kerb line in a north direction around the turning head

b) To introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations;

i. on the east side of Grenville Road from the south property boundary wall of 7 Grenville Road in a south direction for a distance of 5m
ii. on the west side of Grenville Road from the west property boundary wall of flats 42-52 Grenville Road following the kerb line in a southwest direction for a distance of 3m
iii. on the east side of Grenville Road from a point 11m north of the north property boundary wall of flats 75-85 Grenville Road following the kerb line in a north direction for a distance of 4m
iv. on the east side of Grenville Road from a point 1m north of the north property boundary of 8 in a north direction for 3m

2) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

3) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
