Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Gumley Road, South Stifford

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as "the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

i. on both sides of East Street, from Gumley Road north kerb line in a north direction for a distance of 7m
ii. on the north side of Gumley Road, from East Street east kerb line in a east direction for a distance of 10m
iii. on the north side of Gumley Road, from East Street west kerb line in a west direction for a distance of 10m
iv. on the north side of Gumley Road, from a point 1m east of the west boundary line of 64 East Street in a west direction for a distance of 5m 
v. on both sides of Charlton Street, from Gumley Road north kerb line in a north direction for a distance of 7m
vi. on the north side of Gumley Road, from Charlton Street east kerb line in a east direction for a distance of 10m
vii. on the north side of Gumley Road, from Charlton Street west kerb line in a west direction for a distance of 10m
viii. on the north side of Gumley Road, from a point 1m west of the east boundary line of the Sub station to the rear of 64 Foxton Road in a east direction for a distance of 5m
ix. on both sides of Foxton Road, from Gumley Road north kerb line in a north direction for a distance of 12m
x. on the north side of Gumley Road, from Foxton Road east kerb line in a east direction for a distance of 10m
xi. on the north side of Gumley Road, from Foxton Road west kerb line in a west direction for a distance of 10m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm) by emailing the Transport Delivery team at [email protected] – those who are unable to email can phone 01375 652 652.

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent by email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 19 September 2024. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
