Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
High Road & Lion Hill, Fobbing - No Waiting At Any Time
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).
2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce new waiting restrictions “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following locations;-
- On the western side of High Road, from the southern property boundary line of 1 Bay Cottages in a northerly direction following the kerb line for a distance of 73 m.
- On the western side of High Road, from the southern property boundary line of 2 Paynes Cottages in a southerly direction following kerb line to the northern kerb line of Lion Hill.
- On the western side of High Road, from a point opposite 6 m north of the southern property wall of Curtis’ Farm building in a northerly direction following kerb line to the southern kerb line of Lion Hill.
- On both side of Lion Hill, from the western kerb line of High Road in a south westerly direction following the kerb line for a distance of 156 m.
3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via [email protected]. 4) Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 21st November 2024. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
