Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

Princess Margaret Road, East Tilbury

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 20th February 2025, the order will come in to force on the 13th March 2025.

2) The general effect of the Order is to provide a “Prohibited Goods Vehicles Exceeding 7.5T Except for Access” restriction on the roads specified below:

  1. Princess Margaret Road, East Tilbury – 2m south of its junction with Bata Mews continuing in a southerly direction to a point 45 South of the southern property wall of St. Catherines Church.

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm), by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via [email protected]. 4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
