Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).
2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce new waiting restrictions “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following locations;-
- On the southern side of Chichester Close, from a point 3m west of the eastern boundary wall of 1 Chichester Close following the kerb line in an easterly then southerly direction for a distance of 20m.
- On the northern side of Chichester Close, from a point 3 m west of the eastern boundary wall of 1 Chichester Close following the kerb line in an easterly then northerly direction for a distance of 27m.
- On the eastern side of Mill lane, from a point 61m south from the southern boundary wall of San Antonio following the kerb line in a southerly direction for a distance of 23m.
3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via [email protected]. 4) Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 09/01/2024. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
