Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic

St Chads Road, Tilbury - No Waiting At Any Time

  1. Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).
  1. The general effect of the Order would be:
  1. To revoke “No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6.30pm” at the following locations

                                                                                                                              

      1. On both sides of Chadfields, from the western kerb line of St Chads Road, along the kerb lines in a westerly direction for a distance of 13.6m.
      2. On the western side of St Chads Road, from the northern kerb line of Chadfields, along the kerb line for a distance of 23 m in a northerly direction.
      3. On the western side of St Chads Road, from the southern kerb line of Chadfields, along the kerb line for a distance of 16 m in a southerly direction.
      4. On the western side of St Chads Road, outside 165-175 St Chads Road.
      5. On the western side of St Chads Road, outside 3-10 Orient Terrace St Chads Road.
    1. To introduce “No Waiting At Any Time” restrictions at the following locations:
      1. On both sides of Chadfields, from the western kerb line of St Chads Road, along the kerb line, in a westerly direction for a distance of 13.6m.
      2. On the western side of St Chads Road, from the northern kerb line of Chadfields, along the kerb line, for a distance of 23 m in a northerly direction.
      3. On the western side of St Chads Road, from the southern kerb line of Chadfields, along the kerb line, for a distance of 16 m in a southerly direction.
      4. On the eastern side of St Chads Road, from the northern flank wall of number 194 St Chads Road, in a southerly direction for 47 m, to the southern flank wall of number 184 St Chads Road.

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively, the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via [email protected].  Those who are unable to use email can phone 01375 652652.

4) Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 04 April 2025. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
