A leaseholder is a person that holds a long lease of a flat or maisonette from us. This means that they are the legal owner of the flat for the period of the lease.
We are still responsible for providing common services and maintaining the exterior of the block and common parts.
The lease
This is a legal agreement between you and us. Every leaseholder has an equal responsibility for making sure that its terms and conditions are met.
Your lease includes a plan showing your property edged in red. It will show any part of the tenancy that was included in the sale, such as:
- garden
- storeroom
- parking space
The building where your flat is is part of an estate. This may be as small as a single block containing two flats or a larger area containing several blocks in a common area. The estate is shown edged in blue on the plan.
