Help with shopping for food
If you can prepare and cook meals but find shopping difficult, you could try a home delivery service or ask someone to help you.
Home delivery
If you find it a struggle to go out shopping, you could switch to shopping online. Many supermarkets offer this service, although there can be a small extra cost for delivery – usually £2 to £5.
Supermarkets often allow their delivery drivers to help you put your shopping in the freezer if it's something you find difficult. You should check this with your supermarket before you order.
Someone to help
You could also ask someone to help you with shopping. They could either:
- go with you to the shops
- go to the shops for you
There are community groups that offer these services – ask your Local Area Coordinator for details of community groups near you.
