Housing resident engagement strategy, 2022-2027
This strategy sets out our aims and ambitions for improving interaction and communication with those who live in and around our homes and neighbourhoods.
The significance of meaningful engagement with residents may never have been higher than it is currently. The impact of, and response to, the tragedy at Grenfell Tower shows how important it is for residents and communities to be able to access information, express their views and opinions on changes, and play an active part in the way we fulfil our duties and provide services.
This strategy:
- sets the framework for future action
- establishes an approach that will see resilient and respectful partnerships formed and maintained with those who access our housing services
- strengthens resident participation in the scrutiny and governance of our housing service, offering greater transparency into how we operate
- lays foundations for improving the experience residents and communities have when interacting with our services
- will make sure we remain responsive, adaptable and flexible to residents' and communities' broad and changing needs
In developing this strategy, we worked alongside the Excellence Panel that represents residents who live in and around our homes and neighbourhoods.
