Listed buildings at risk
The Heritage at Risk register lists those buildings that are in a serious state of decay and dereliction. They are usually vacant and sometimes vandalised. Such buildings are looked at regularly and every effort is made to contact owners in order to encourage repairs.
In extreme cases we can use legal powers to make sure urgent repairs are carried out.
A national register of heritage sites at risk is compiled by Historic England. Go to Historic England: Heritage at Risk Register search results for Thurrock.
