Thurrock Accredited Planning Agent Scheme
Our Thurrock Accredited Planning Agents Scheme (TAPAS) is open to agents that submit householder development applications within Thurrock.
Recognising good quality
The scheme is our way of promoting and recognising the submission of good quality planning applications.
Benefits of becoming an accredited agent are:
- the planning applications you submit will be registered promptly
- you will be publicised on our list of accredited agents and your details will be available to the public through our website
- you may use our Thurrock Accredited Planning Agent mark on your business stationery
How to apply
If you would like to become an accredited agent for planning applications in Thurrock, you should state this clearly when submitting your next householder applications. We will record your details and check your subsequent applications for validity against the criteria of the scheme. You will be given Thurrock Accredited Planning Agent status and all future applications should comply with the requirements of our householder planning applications guide.
Alternative arrangements may be considered for those who submit fewer than 5 householder applications per year, at our discretion.
Whilst accreditation is our recognition for agents that submit good quality applications, the status is not intended to reflect an agent's skill or qualifications. It does not imply that the applications they submit are any more or less likely to obtain permission.
