Advice for parents and pupils
Our code of good practice offers advice for parents and pupils about transport to schools and colleges.
The code of good practice:
- explains how we expect pupils to behave when travelling to and from their school or college
- advises parents of ways they can help to make their child's journey safer and more pleasant
- advises schools, drivers, escorts and operators of their responsibilities
You can download the current code of good practice, effective from September 2019, below.
Go to our home to school or college travel support pages for help with getting from home to school or from home to college.
