What's in your library
Bookstart for 0 to 5 year olds
You can collect a free Bookstart baby pack from your health visitor at your baby's health check between the ages of 6 weeks to 8 weeks.
The baby pack includes:
- a free board book
- a rhyme sheet
- a booklet of tips and ideas for sharing books with children from a very young age
We can provide a range of dual language books suitable for 3 year-olds and 4 year-olds.
If you are a child minder or work in an early years setting, contact Grays library for attention of the Children's Team to ask about:
- packs suitable for babies and pre-school children with hearing impairment or visual impairment
- packs for children aged 3 years-old and over with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
No-one is too young to have a library card – go to joining the library.
