We are responsible for maintenance of the highway, including pavements and footpaths.

Obstructed pavements

Contact us to report pavements blocked by skips, building materials and other large items.

Vehicles parked on pavements that cause an obstruction are a police matter.

Damaged pavements

You can report damaged pavements to us.

We investigate all reports of damaged pavements. Our decision on what needs to be done is based on the:

• size of the damage
• type of problem
• level of risk to public safety

We will try to make the reported damage safe when we carry out the inspection. If that's not possible we will try to repair dangerous pavement defects within 24 hours.
